To support rural tourism and agricultural education, Haryana’s Tourism Development Board has built smart huts near heritage farms in Kurukshetra. Each hut includes solar panels, LED lighting, rainwater harvesting, composting toilets, and a small EV charge point. Visitors can stay overnight, participate in farm workshops, and use app-based guides. The eco-huts attract agri-tourists and generate income for local farmers managing the sites. Haryana plans ten more huts by 2026 along historic pilgrimage trails.
